The Apiarist, a gin infused with our own raw honey, bringing the unique character of that golden nectar into a more ‘adult’ setting. As our bees forage around the Lichfield countryside, we are proud to know that some of that goodness is going to make the perfect gin & tonic. Made using raw honey from our hives near Lichfield.

The Apiarist 'Forager Edition' builds on the smooth, balanced taste of The Apiarist. Inspired by our hedgerows, we created something that the forager bee would be proud of. We took the flavours of our local environment and built a complex pink gin.

The Apiarist Rum marries technology and tradition in a perfectly balanced and rich new rum. Using innovative technology this 100% British rum is rapid aged to the equivalent of a 3-year barrel aged rum. During this process we combine it with our highest quality honey. The result is a balanced, subtle yet complex rum, with hints of lemon and honey and a smooth long finish.

Propolis Gin. This ‘Lichfield’ (London) Dry Gin contains botanicals inspired by our bees, the main one being propolis – a natural compound created from tree sap. Propolis boasts warm citrusy notes combined with light floral hints, giving it a smooth finish and a natural freshness.

All are bottled at 40% Abv.

Special Notes

This is a natural product, we do not use additives of any kind and the honey that goes into the gin is raw and unfiltered. As a result, some batches may appear a slightly different colour (we distill on taste not look), and there may be a slight cloudiness to some batches which comes from the pollen in our honey.

The product should be kept away from direct sunlight (to avoid colour change) and not in the fridge where the honey content may crystallise. These are only cosmetic changes and do not impact on the taste or quality of our rum.

About the Distiller

On our little apiary, in the shadows of the cathedral city of Lichfield, is where our bees have provided a measure of tranquility and normality in these exceptional times. It is where we observe nature, learn from it, and apply that philosophy to everything else we do.
